This is an exerpt from the 3M web site I came across earlier and couldn't believe this.... Are algae harmful to shingles? There are no proven damaging effects of algae accumulation on shingles. However, the dark algae streaks are the number one appearance-related problem reported to roofing cont...

I was on my roof the other day tinkering with mixtures and noticed a white haze, after the roof dried, in a small area of my roof that i treated with the apple sauce mixture. Any ideas of what this might be from? Thanks in advance. - Mike

I'm not worried about hitting vinyl siding while cleaning a roof, but what do you do with a dormer or a roof to wall section that has cedar siding.  I know that the ground guy needs to keep stuff wet, but will he be rinsing away the sauce before it becomes effective?

I cleaned my first roof Sunday and my friends roof was steep, really steep. I walked part of it so I could reach the top part. I started spraying from the top and let the LOVE run down...

I'm bidding this roof this afternoon.  Overall I think the roof is in pretty good shape.  The North side (Left side) is starting to grow algae, but the homeowner is most concerned w/ the large rust stain on the back side.  From what I've read on here - Super Iron Out is a pretty good product to remove the ru...
