That first truck I had was a 1990 Fuso. Nickeled and dimmed me to death. Had to trade up. What a difference. When I pull up to a client's house they know that I am for real !.. and I am. It is all about the first impression ….the sizzle.
Cleaning roofs is all I think about, that and my son. I have a home show this weekend that I just got done setting up for today. What a life changer !
How do you upload pics ? I have forgotten how to do it. This site is the best but uploading pics is a nightmare. It should be browse, My Pictures, and click.
Any help would be great.
Yes roof cleaning is full time. I have been setting up all of my adverting for 2012. I have been visiting realtors and roofing companies , they get calls all the time. I going to do 200 roofs this year.
Growing up in Delray Beach Florida and my best friend and his family in the glass business, always have a lot of business replacing glass and door units because the salt just eats everything made of metal. May be hard to convince homeowner to spray salt water on the roof even if it did work. Just my two cents.

Most of these "clean your roof over time" chemicals just kill the plant, or oxidize it a bit to hasten it's removal.
A weak bleach solution will actually do this, and so will many other things.
Salt dries out meat, and it can also dry out and kill plants.
That's why I have always believed it could be used as a clean your roof over time chemical.
Especially if combined with something else for a real one two punch.
BTW, anytime you spray bleach, you are spraying salt.

My opionion was just that owners on the ocean are very sensitive to salt water that causes damage to their homes. It is a very interesting concept. After being on this site for almost 2 years and thanks to everyone I know bleach is salt. Some of us do listen to you Chris! Your advise on canvass and many other things were well taken! Thank you!
I have been in sales for so long I guess I know how to read body language and be “soft” so they do not get turned off immediately. I definitely do not just sit there and wait for something to happen, I am out in the aisle asking people if I can just have thirty seconds and then when the wife say’s yes I turn to the husband and say “ please put thirty seconds on the clock ” they laugh and off I go with my spiel.
I always like to hear of sales peoples techniques. tend to be more technical than sales but have to be both. I liked your example. Share more.

You need to change your roof cleaning signature so that you can get SEO juice for your website. Instead of displaying your website URL make it a link back to your website. Just a thought. I hope it helps!
Thank you very much for the help with my web site link Marcus. Clyde, thanks for the help with the pic uploads. ( it was embarrassingly easy.)
The home show that I am doing is working out great. Some have black streaks, some don’t, but nine out of ten say that they did not know that it could even be done. I am going to figure out how to get my message out to the masses.( without having to spend a million dollars in advertising ) Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Here is a picture of my display that I built for the home shows. Feb 2011 I got 35 estimates. My friend has a power washing business and shared a booth with me, he has no sales experience at all and did not get one estimate, I like the shows, he says he will not do another show. they are a bit of a grind but it gets me out of the gate for spring.
im putting two more pics of my segway that I use for flyering neighborhoods and use in parades and home shows around the areas.
This is one of the things I came up with this weekend while I was working the home show that explained why roof algae is not just a cosmetic problem . I explained that roof algae was covering up the reflective granules that the shingles manufacturers engineered to reflect the sun's heat and that it was causing the shingles to over heat ( which is true) then I used an analogy that if there car was over heating that they would take it right in to have it fixed. I then went on to tell them that if there car was damaged by the car over heating that it would cost less to have there engine rebuilt than it would to have there roof replaced. That seemed to work really well and I would go right into getting there names and address for a free estimates.
Please let me know if this is helpful. I will stop if it is annoying anyone.
