Thank you for your compliments on the barrel tile roof cleaning job in Houston Texas.  The roof was a little dirtier than I thought.  It took two coats for the roof to completely come clean.  Thank goodnesss it was over 70 degrees that day.  We also power washed the house and all combined took 8 hours to complete.

When roof cleaning you are usually removing gloeoscapa magma which is a member of the cynobacteria family.  What is usually on the gutters that we clean in the Houston metropolitan area is mildew (green) and later it turns to mold (black).  We have a lot of black streak lines in gutters which is an electrostatic bonding that takes place.  Then the gutters usually have to be hand cleaned.
