Im tired of what I see in the first pic.  Also tired of buying repair kits and tired of fixing it.  You do not need to pull out all of the line to hook it up.  Only draw back is if you dont pull out enough you will need to disconnect to get more feed.  Its a 1/2" quick connect that I keep well lubed with plumbers heat proof grease.  Using a 1/2" plastic strap with only one side screw in. (stainless is a b*tch to get things screwed into it)

Hey Ed, that yellow hose, is that " Tundra " hose? Tundra hose is extremely flexable and never stiffens up in sub zero weather, thats why they call it Tundra.

Hey Ed, I have Titan hose real and wanted to avoid running solution thru it because of what the SH will do to the stainless. What I came up with is, I bought a three way, polyproplene ball valve and put a quick disconnect on the end of the hose at the hose real. I pull all the hose out and quick disconnect to the ball valve to eliminate the solution going thru the hose real. I just had the ball valve shipped from PWP so I don't have any pics yet. I also learned that when ordering the ball valve, the anchors to attach it are sold seperately. Total cost being apx $50.00.

You need to use a stainless steel super swivel. Mine normally last about two years on my chemical reel line and upwards of three- four on my high pressure reels.

Larry that is stainless. The problem is the washers go and start leaking. Look again at the bed of my van, its begging for mercy.

Pat thats a Kuritek hose from PT. 60 degrees and its already getting stiff.

The super swivel never seems to leak and has a grease fitting.(not that I ever use it). I have used the one in your picture and they are not a damn. They always leak.

I got that one on my electric reels. I greased it this week for the first time in a year and a half. The grease didnt go in easy, it was a battle.

Please post some pics.  I have to do something with mine soon.

I have used super swivels and even had to rebuild them because they do leak within 2 years.  When you rebuild them the grease fitting is removed so that you can take out the ball beaings and then it pulls apart.  It does not take but 1 pump of the grease gun unless you want to blow the super swivels seals because the chamber that you are greasing is full of ball bearings.

I quit using swivels and now use 1/2 SS Hanson QD.  Visit my website and play the video on the menu bar labeled Equipment.  Towards the end of the video is a pic of my setup.  The 4 way adapter allows me to inject Green Apple or Green Wash into the mixture and has a pressure guage so that I know how much pressure the roof pump is putting out.  I have found out that if you go over 60 PSI on a Fatboy you will blow the seals soon...

If the swivel lasts 2 years it has more than done its job and I just replace it. Nothing in this business lasts forever with the materials we use. The $50.00 for the swivel is just another small investment.

Replacing the swivel is one thing. I'll be dammed if I spend another $300+ to replace the reel.

 Hahaha! Ed your killing me...

I've had my Titan 18 in reel for 6 years. The manifold just went bad a couple of months ago. I think it was $ 90.00 for a new one installed. I SHOULD get another 5-6 years out of this one too. The reel and the swivel is the reason I rinse at least 5 gals of water through the system every night when we finish up.

I rinse my titans after every job.  They are electric and require a lot more work to tear down & rebuild.

I got tired of swivels going bad on my Cox reels, so now it's SOP to take off as much as you need ( hoses are in 50, 25, and 100 foot sections) and screw directly into the pump. I've also found I significantly increased the flow during the rinse by not going through the reel.
