Chris has told me many times, they come and they go. LOL
They do brother I have trained so many many people to clean roofs, only to see many of them fail. Failure always come from the inability to market your services.
I've had the pleasure of getting to know Owen fairly well over the last 6 months or so. He has a very important career with his local school system.
He's done quite well on the commerical side of his pressure washing business as well. Perhaps his priorities have changed? I guess what I'm getting at, is punching out doesn't always equate to failure.
I know that I've toyed with the idea of going back to the corporate rat race a time or two. And then I wise up and realize that I LOVE having my own business. But that's just me.
Best of luck to you Owen, with all of your endeavors. You're a top shelf guy.
Why do people always have to think negative about things, getting out of the business for a while does not mean that you have failed. I have chosen to step out for a while to take care of the more important things in my life. As Ted said, I have a very successful career, which takes up most of my time. I do not have to sell any of the equipment, but it would be nice to have the cash in a time of need.
I made this post to sell equipment, not for it to turn into drama or calling people failures.
As they always say,
IF YOU DON'T HAVE ANYTHING NICE TO SAY, THEN DON'T SAY ANYTHING AT ALL.

I am not reading anyone said you failed. Though there is a point to be made that not everyone that gets on here, starts a business makes it. Truthfully, for those of us that are still in that's a good thing as far as competition goes.
Priorities are very important and valid and having cash back up is a good thing.
I have not commented to direct such at anyone person, if taken that way I stand corrected, sorry. In general terms, there are opposing points of view. In Iowa I had four competitors when the season started, now only one, the other three couldn't make it. Chris point about marketing is very valid and those here didn't do well with that and in such have failed in the roof cleaning business.
Best of luck with your priorities and will see you when you return.
I have quite a bit of window cleaning stuff from WCR I will get a list of it together, take some pics and post it. Dont want it, dont need it. And I spoke with Owen this morning If I buy this unit He can keep the window cleaning supplies.
