Roof Replacement

If your roof has black streaks or stains, replacement is not your only option. These streaks and stains are not necessarily a sign that a roof replacement is needed.  Roof Cleaning by A&E Painting offers a non pressure delivery system that will effectively remove the black streaks, mold and lichen from your roof. Our system offers an affordable cost with instant results for a fraction of the cost of roof replacement. The average cost to replace a roof is between $6000-$12,000, depending on the size. Our system averages from $300-$900 depending the size and also includes free gutter clean out service to remove debris from the inside of the gutter to allow rain water to freely flow.

Roof Cleaning Information About Black Streaks Caused By Algae

What causes the black streaks and stains?

Black stains and streaks on asphalt shingles are caused by algae growth. The algae feed on the limestone that is used as filler in asphalt shingles. When it rains, the algae is spread, causing black streaks and stains.

The residents of this home thought they needed a new roof and were excited to hear it only needed cleaned, saving them thousands of dollars.

Remember that not every roof cleaning or pressure washing job is the same and the results can vary depending on the condition of the existing roof shingles that are going to be cleaned. Our non pressure cleaning techniques are very effective for cleaning roofs and can be done without causing damage to shingles. In addition, this is the only recommended way to clean asphalt shingles according to the Asphalt Roofing Manufacturers Association.

Will this damage the integrity of my roof?

Our system is delivered at low pressure and because of this; it is no more harmful than the rain that hits your roof. In some cases, it may be necessary to walk the roof for application of our solution however; we generally use a bucket truck to access roofs and apply the solution without ever stepping on your roof.
