New to business and looking for equipment advise.

Hello,

I have owned a construction business for the last 2yrs and worked in the industry the last 10. I am still in start up phase of business and struggling keeping up with overhead in a low income area in NW PA. Im have been looking into getting into roof cleaning over the last year and havent wanted to jump into anything without knowing it through and through. I have done a fair share of research on the topic and I think Im ready to make a move.

Yesterday I come across a skid set up for sale for 400obo. I stopped and looked at it and made an offer of $200 and purchased it. It has a 500gal (to big) tank, 1 1/4" suction hose, 3/4" return hose, 18 or 20" metal hose reel, 300' of 1/2" yellow AG hose, a 3hp briggs motor and direct drive pump that was left with water in it over winter and cracked (junk). I was originally planning on getting a delavan 5850 but am now not sure of what to do next. I was recommended not to use that (delavan) pump with 1/2 hose. I would like to use the hose as that is one of the very costly expenses. What pumps could i use with this hose?

I guess what im asking is for advise as to where I go from here to get me up and running? Even if some equipment is temporary to get me up and going is fine. I have always put improving equipment and efficientcy as a top priority, but I need to get on my feet again before I can do so.

                                                            Rial Renovations,

                                                            Bill Rial

Welcome to RCIA Bill,

Before we teach our potential competition how to properly clean roofs the RCIA way, we would like to make them a member first. biggrin  Then maybe network and certify them. Bill do you think you would be interested in joining the RCIA?
