Ladder Choices - What Say You?

Hello All,

I have a Little Giant convertible ladder that I currently use for pretty much everything.  It's the heavy duty version and somewhat heavy in the weight department too.  i am wanting to get a new ladder and have narrowed it down to either an aluminum or fiberglass 20' Werner extension ladder like the links below, what do you think? Does the fiberglass hold up better than the aluminum after getting the sauce all over it?

That's my main concern is which holds up better....

If there is a better ladder that you would recommend, pleae let me know.

As always, thank you in advance for your help and wisdom!

You will have to become a Premium Member for me to answer that.   hump.gif

I have always used a 32' Aluminum ladder. Now I also have a 40'. The 32' I can walk around with it standing up all day. The 40' is a little more awkward and have to be more cautious with. You get that much ladder leaning to far one way it is harder to recover it. Especially if you don't have much running room to get back under it.

WOW!  40ft..... That's a pretty big ladder.  I do mostly residential and usually no more than 2 story roofs, plus I have a bad back, one of the reasons I'm down-sizing.

So I guess it's personal preference....whether it be fiberglass or aluminum....huh?

I've used a 32' for 20 years. Just bought the 40' for some town houses that are 3 stories.
