I recently got back into pressure washing. I started going after commercial flat work like most do but had little success. The window cleaning side started picking up accounts though. I started reading these post on roof cleaning and began talking with potential customers and very quickly decided this is the route I want to go. I enjoy cleaning windows and doing residential work a lot more than being out on a sidewalk in the middle of the night when I could be in bed with my wife. I am putting my fat boy system together today and have 2 realtor sales meeting to go to next week. Roof cleaning is wide open here with very little if no competition. My question is I have a Landa hot water machine that I can trade back to my dealer clear my bill get a 4000@4gpm pressure washer and have some cash to pocket and put towards marketing. How many of you guys keep a cold water rig just for doing residential driveways with a 19" classic surface cleaner. My focus is going to be strictly window cleaning roof washing and house washing.

I've always thought you need hot water to remove the gum in sidewalks? Am I wrong? ( I hope I am!)?

I would only be doing residential concrete as an add on with roof washing and house washing

Cold water? There is something, I dont know what it is, but it softens the gum?

We only do sidewalks as an add on, Chit, I try to get all the money if I can! And the customer gets a nice discount, for the add ons.

Turbo nozzle, I got one, havent used it since I got the surface cleaner. You have to be carefull with these as it can take the creme off the side walk. My understanding. Maybe just for the gum???

I bought my rig used and it had a 13 hp honda with a general pump. I use it for cleaning driveways and sidewalks with a surface cleaner. I have used it to rinse (house wash) when the homeowner is using a well and the water pressure is low.

Sounds like we have the same setup. Well water. You have to have a buffer for that. Jobs I couldnt do, I've been doing this year!!!
