At present, please send your check to me. This will change in the near future.
Please include your email address, t-shirt size and telephone number when you send your check. If you have recently (last 2 weeks) sent a check to me for membership, please PM me the above info. Thanks Gary

If I remember right we get a certification as well, a piece of paper? I believe the PWNA gives certificates too. Wolman does.
For certification here is an idea. After learning, they have to post at least so many roof B&A's. Like I did. I had a few in under 100 posts. It has to be their work. It can be their house, their parents, brother, sister's house. Freebies for the experience. Done that too. I wanna see your work, that you are actually out there washing roofs. Taking what you've learned and out there doing it.
The signature Idea is a must! There can only be one you.
Id like to see YOUR website, you checking out mine.
They have to have contributed something here. In at least so many posts. Something better than an atta boy!
A certificate from the RCIA will be a coveted piece of property for any contractor that washes roofs!
Mike; A lot, if not all of your suggestions are currently being discussed in addition to other topics for enclusion into the new certification process. Be patient, details will be forthcoming. Gary

I feel 100.00 is a good number and when I get me some jobs rolling in I'm going to contribute aswell....this place is like a second home now.....I have no probs putting back into it.
My membership fee was made back up after the first 1/2 hour of yesterday's cleaning's. Looking forward to the changes, and glad to be a member of RCIA.
Thanks Tom, we will have some new things in place for the paid members next month. To all that have joined so far thank you. Your checks will be deposited next week.
This is great news, but I'm a little concerned. Where do all of the changes leave someone like me, who just joined a couple of months ago and is still studying like crazy but still in the apprentice stage? Can I still pay the $100 membership dues and continue studying, asking questions, and contributing? I'm not clear on where this leaves those of us that are here to stay but not yet certified...
As for protecting all of the information....YES! We all should pay to be a part and enjoy the benefits of sharing the information that provides us a nice living and a great service to our communities.

Brandon,
I had the same question. From what I was told by a board member is that all paid members will have the same access to information regardless of certification. Correct me if I'm wrong, but that's what I'm going with unless told otherwise. Glad to be a member.
Paid members will continue to have access to all the forum topics as in the past. Paid members will also have access to new "PAID MEMBERS ONLY" areas that will contain some new and propriatory info, along with new features that will benefit the industry and the member. You can be a "paid member" whether you're certified or not. In fact it will probably assist you in becoming certified. Gary

Gary,
Can you tell us more about the certification process?

Certification is on hold for the moment, until we decide how to best handle and insure it. Most of our certified members have agreed and asked that certification be stronger and harder to obtain. It will take some time to implement, but we should have answers to this in the spring.
