Hose connections

Ok dudes, I haven't seen anything on this, so here goes. Let's talk hose joints, connections, butts, etc. Joining two sections of hose togehter, what is YOUR method of long-lasting success? I use 2 100' sections of 5/8" hose and secure them with 2 o clamps.

Kevin,
I use multiple 100' sections of chemical hose on both of my trucks. They have hydrualically crimped male and female 3/4 garden hose fittings on them. In between each section I put a 3/4 pvc ball valve to be able to shut sections off in case of a leak. The reason I use 3/4 threaded garden connections is in case I split a hose, I can easily replace that section with regular garden hose to get the job completed and then repair or replace the hose at a later time. I always keep about 300' of garden hose on the trucks. They work great as spares.

Brian

Ditto do the exact same thing. 3/4 inch garden hose fitting with ball valves.

I use a PVC Cam Lock too. Works great (so far.)

I wanted to be able to swap hoses as needed. Why pump through 150' of hose if I'm just transferring to a tank five feet away? A short hose is less load on the pump and battery. Also, I'd rather not pump undiluted SH through my main hose(s.) I'm sure it'd take a toll on it + that is a lot of SH to clear out of the line.

I have a couple photos Lori at PWP sent me. They recommended it for what I wanted to do.

What size are those cam locks? I have seen them but not that small.

Yep they are awesome. You can even replace the rings. Just google Banjo Clamps or try this link.
