I need to sign up for SC cause Tampa was great. My only problem is here in the North east I'm stacking nuts away for winter. My season is done somewhere around that point.
we need to talk about alternate winter services:)
AC
Yes AC we need to talk alernate winter services, I have not been able to come up with any ideas, back some time ago I got certified in kitchen cleaning thinking that would be the answer, It wasn't.
i live in Jersey the winters are mild enough that I should be able to get out from time to time, but people have this mindset that it is winter?
With all due respect AC I have to agree with Dan on this one. Last year it took me forever to find out what to put into my mix. It was a TRADE SECRET much like Bushes baked beans. But when I found this site people where proud to just give it away for free. I just don't want roof cleaning to be like landscaping/lawn care. When Joe Nobody puts a mower in the back of his truck calls himself a business and charges $20 bucks a lawn.
I had a lawn and landscaping business for 8 years and that is why I got out. Every year you would have some 18 year old kid that just got out of school and mommy and daddy bought him a mower and he called him self an entrepreneur. It got really old.
-Professional website. -Professionally laid out flyers and marketing materials. -A nice looking logo. -A decent looking vehicle. -Show up for estimates with at LEAST a clean pair of jeans and a polo shirt. Logo on shirt even better. -Invoices when job is done. -Dont smoke and curse when your on their property. -Smile and do the job you described.
Do all these things and charge the money you deserve and people will pay. People feel safer going with you if you have these things in place. Dont worry about the other guy.
I agree with you, Eastern. Outshine the lowballers with all of the things you mentioned and people will want to pay for the better service. There's no denying professionalism, confidence, and knowledge.
