Im not being silly here, but I don't usually where gloves untill it gets cold, but I thought I would maybe start wearing some heavy gloves just in case I were to slip and fall I could possibly grap a gutter on the way down with out cutting my hand to shreads?
now i know you should use ropes and harness, ladders and roof hooks and so on, but ?????
what kind of gloves does everyone use/prefer? are they're any to stay away from? thanks
We use the Nitrile Chemical Resistant Gloves. They are a great price, resistant to the SH, light weight, hold up wel and disposable. I beleive our last box of 100 from Harbor Freight cost just under $10. You can get these gloves many places, but this was a great price!
thanks ted, i'm thinking they're what i want. i hate the disposable nitrile's cause my hand gets all sweaty and pruny lol, so these look a little more like what i'm lookin for thanks. def will keep the disposables in the truck though for backup.

I use the long chem resistant gloves, Until they get soaked from sweat. I have found that if I check for leaks on the wand, and tighten things up, I dont need gloves. And when its 160 degrees and 240 percent humidity like its been this summer, not wearing gloves helps a lot.

Wow!? Twin 350s for a 24 footer?! We can tag team a roof or two, then use my bass boat as the dingy for your motor yacht. LOL We'll NEED to clean a roof or two just to have gas money for that water rocket of yours Here's a pic of my ugly mug in my lil boat off of Bahia Honda earlier this year. The Spanish were a hoot on ultra light bass tackle. Sadly the deep freeze had put a major hurtin' on many species.
I'd be honored to help out in any way I can. My cell number is below and it's always on James.

We use to use the medical gloves, but they always seemed to rip. We switched to the heavier latex dish washing gloves. They last for many jobs, and aren't bulky like the heavier chemical gloves.
i found a pair of nitrile gloves with a breathable back that are velcro around the wrist and they seem to be what i want. they are similar to the "mechanix" type glove and seem real comfortable. i'll just have to see how long they last. thanks for everyone's input.

I'll got with Brad. Longer glove helps, but can get annoying at times if not a snug fit. My opinion is the atlas gloves. They are textured natural rubber coating. Abrasion resistance, and grip for slippery materials, and no liquid penetration.
