Does anyone have any data related to the benefits of roof cleaning?

For example:

The average life of a shingle roof
Clean roofs last x% longer than dirty roofs
x% loss of energy efficiency for dirty roofs

I'd like to be able to put some of this info into my presentation.

Pat _ I also saw a statistic on X % of roofs were replaced for cosmetic reasons ( as opposed to leakage/failure), but danged if I can find those numbers again. I saw it posted on a washing forum somewhere and meant to bookmark it. However I didn't and can't find the info now.

I think i saw somewhere that 40-60% of roofs are replaced due to looks alone. I know thats not nailing down the numbers.

Life of a roof.....it all depends
My last house I owned up north had the orig roof and it was 10

Yes, i've seen a statistic that said 50% of roof replacements are due to appearance.  Can't remember where though.  Based on what my customers have said the main reason they have it done is for appearance and curb appeal purposes.  Second reason would be extending the life of the roof.  However, there are numerous benefits!
