Not one bit, I had a second house lined up, first guy is looking at a new roof, second guy comes over, his adjuster just came off his roof, and he's going to get one too??????
Then my wife gets home for lunch and guess what? Our adjuster is being called out as well??????WTF????????
And no using the roofs for practice????
You don't know how close my stuff was gonna be seen on Craigslist/Waco!!!!!!
The hail was nickel to some quarter size, 15 minutes at the most........I just don't get it....
I guess I'll keep the daytime job for awhile.....
Not sure if GOD is telling me something.............
Hang in there, that is will happen at times. It still blows my mind how someone would want to pay so much to replace a roof when they can have it cleaned for a fraction of the cost.
Just keep on trucking we all have cloudy days like thats somtimes but the sun will come out just keep pushing for sales. Just wondering what size tank is that in the pic. Im still working on my set up.
Tank is 50 gallon, picked it up at Tractor Supply, trying to figure out what I'm gonna use as a reel, I might get a HD plastic type for now......want a stainless from Lori, but the way things are headed not sure anymore....... my neighbor's roof is goning to cost $9K?????
This area was my prime target, homes, income levels, etc.......

I see no damage on mine, but I saw the same on my neighbors?????
He stated the adjuster told him any small dings in the shingle show damage and that means replacement....?????

I'm at a loss......
So tell your neighbor to pocket the $9K, pay you $1K to clean his old roof, and everyone is happy. Think outside the box!!
That does suck. Tests like this will happen constantly to see if you have what it takes to make it. We, as roof cleaners, are affected by everything. The weather, the seasons, elections, gas prices, vacations, etc etc etc etc etc etc....
When I got started i spent $10k up front buying EVERYTHING I would need. We were rockin and rolling, making money. We went out to do the roof of a best western hotel, we leave for 20 minutes, come back and guess what? We came back the our whole trailer was gone. I had the video of it being taken, Chris Tucker probably remembers seeing it.
Believe it or not thats not even the biggest set back we've had. You just keep going, brush things off, and keeop your day job as long as you can. lol

Kinda calmed down now, things could be alot worse, I'll just go along with the whole neighborhood and get a new roof as well........
$10K worth of equipment gone would make me blow chunks, and then search day and night for the scum that took it.......glad it all worked out for you....
Thanks for allowing me to vent,,,

O.K. Since we are talking about things that suck. I did a roof monday with painted gutter covers and the guy was on a well with 0 water pressure so we couldnt get things anywhere as near as wet as I wanted them but like a Dumbazz I thought I could be extra carefull. Now I hope I am wrong but I went buy the house today to check and it looks to me like the paint on those covers is comeing off. Is that possible? What do you all do when they have 0 water pressure like that?

If you are using the homeowners water, you could use a booster pump to improve pressure. Some cleaners have supplemental water tanks on their rigs that they can use (We are setting up our rig now and have a 275 gallon water holding tank). What products are you using in your mix? If you are using TSP, you may want to stop using it until you feel comfortable with your techniques. TSP is not paint friendly. It will stain wood trim if not properly rinsed.

I also have had one of those wks, I had two jobs cancel. then nothing but rain all wk. I was a bit bummed, then ran my add in the paper, nothing. well finally last night I got two emails for bids, one phone call for a bid. then well the one person that cancel called back and said go ahead. with the job(1500 bucks) Only problem is the weather guy said sun but I only see rain outside. at least I got some work to do.
