Did a search and didn't find anything related, has anyone ever tried a generator and a 12 volt converter to power the FatBoy or other battery pump?
Just looking at different options.
Thanks
Makes NO sense. If you are going to the expense of a generator, why not buy a 110 volt pump?? I think Delavan makes a 110 volt model.
Just looking at a back up plan, in the event the battery failed.
I have mowed lawns for the past 5years as a side gig and have a back up for everything, 2 mowers, 2 blowers, etc..... But last week both trimmers went out and I was stressed to the max with no back up, I was about to grab a pair of scissors just to finish the job..........need a back up, maybe another battery.
Wire your truck with a dual batts. Theres a switch that you can buy so it can charge 2 batts at a time just in case. I have one in a box just havent hooked it up yet. A fully charged batt shouldnt run out on you unles you are doing a crazy big roof. I have used the same batt on about 5 roof now and just charged it yesterday.(1500sf-6k sf roofs) buy a good batt

Um, maybe I'm just simple but my rig has a $30.00 battery charger on it. And I'm a few weeks away from putting a 12v solar charging kit on it. If the sun is shining the battery is being charged.
I use a deep cycle marine battery and figure if it ever goes wonkers without warning my truck battery on my 4x4 is more than enough to finish the job.
