i have a question regarding your favorite degree tip. im running a fatboy pump with 200ft of 5/8 hose and have 0050,0060,0070 nozzles. also have 1560,2560. what other degree or ocrifice tip would u suggest me buying with this setup? what about a 4060 or 4560 not sure which one?

on what occasion would you say that maybe using a 40 or 65 degree tip would be useful?

If your wands are pvc make them short, i mean just a valve and adapters, that is the gun you will not break when you drop it. Then for hard to reach areas I would suggest a 5 foot aluminum or pvc wand, this wand will be easy to break but will help in those tuf situations.
I use 50's only. I made my wands from s80 pvc 1/2" pipe. 3/4 ballvalves s80 aswell, have a ballvalve with just a 3" niple and a tip, a 1'.5" which is what i use the most, a 3' wand, and a 6' Alum. wand 1/2"(too heavy) all have 45* on the ends. but i have yet to use the long wands. the fatboy with the 0* can get way up there. only problem im havin is keeping up with the pump :) I need to do a big roof to really see what it can do. I have also done all my roofs from the ground. My cusomers have freaked out when i tell them I wont be walking on the roof. Then i show them how high the pump shoots and they say wow! One guy even told me that he had a guy show up with a PW and started to climb the roof(super steep pitch) when he told him get down and go home i dont want you to fall off my roof. so he never bothered with it after that. until the fatboy showed up :)

thanks for the suggestion bill, gotta question really quick if you dont mind bill. do you have a angle elbow on the end of that 5 footer? maybe a 45 degree? or is it straight?
el flojo have you tried the 60 tips or do you just prefer the 50s cuz you use up less chemical plus shoot farther?

i currently own a 4-way nozzle holder and use the 0050, 1560, 2560, 0070. from what i understand when using an all flo pump you can use alot more different angles? if so, is it because of the greater psi and gpm generated from these types of pumps? Marcus what 4 tips are you using if you dont mind me asking? thank you for your time.

Bill my suggestion is you better get up to the roof with a ladder not shoot from the ground, because algae grows from the gutter up & you can`t see the whole picture from the ground.

brings up another question that i was gonna bring up but think you just helped me come up with the answer. so is it right to say that its better to apply 2 coats of the LOVE JUICE using as little chemical possible, instead of just applying 1 coat but using a higher volume of chemical? hope you understand what im trying to say. guess that would mean less runoff but more time spend moving ladders if spraying from them?

We shoot most of our roofs from the gutter line using 0050 and then when we get to the five feet or so we use a 4060 just because you get splattered. We use a fatboy. the degreed nozzles just don't shoot far enough to get all the way to the ridge on the houses we do. I just bought a o degree 40 to see how much farther it will go. Are pump will curently shoot about 40 feet with the 0050.

I always spray 2 light coats. Otherwise you do not learn how much is really needed to do the job, end up using way more than you need, nor learning how much dwell time the chemicals need. Wasted material means that you like seeing your profits wash away. Yes you have to move the ladders more. That is what you pay employees for unless you like a good work out lol never hurts.

How many gallons do you usually use per roof.

Kip, I have never shot a roof from the ground always above or the gutter line, peak etc. Were did you get the idea that I shoot roofs from the ground??
To answer some questions... We have #30 orifice through 60 for various applications yes I do have a 45 on the end of the long wand, but we never use it anymore. How many gallons one uses per roof is not really something that is simple to answer it varys on many things especially pitch, temperature and level of infestation. To try and help you have an idea of what chem you need start your first batch at 40 gallons.
