I am new to this and have been reading a lot of great info from the sidelines the last couple days and it seems like all the pros are using 12volt or air ran pumps.I have a gas powered Hypro diaprham pump and was wondering if there are any safety issues running it around the SH.Thanks for any help.......Bob

It will work, but not for long. It is not designed for SH.

I had a 3.5hp gas honda water pump that I used for a bit.  Even after rinsing it out and using it for short treatments it still crapped out.  12v pumps are cheap, if you take good care of them they will last quite awhile.  I'd start with a Delavan 5800 or Fatboy, good little pumps.
