Getting caught in the rain is bound to happen every once in a while, that's unavoidable. It even helps rinse off the highly corrosive SH. BUT, I never leave equipment out in the elements. I farmed for many years, owned many pieces of large machinery and did my best to keep it all inside. Even a heavy dew and the rust would kick in overnight. Not a good thing for any components. If you leave it out, everything begins to degrade immediately.

My garage is too small to drive my truck into and I cant lift the compressor off the bed by myself. I was thinking of putting a cover over everything, like a big tarp.

I think I am ready to roll with a new Ridgid compressor and All Flo. I just set up everything and tested it out. It works just fine.
I had an issue with the first Ridgid that I bought (it wouldnt start) took it back and got a new one and it wouldnt start.
My neighbor came over and told me to add more oil and sure enough started right away!! It was low oil for Christ sake!!! Unreal.
With that being said, do you guys leave your compressor out in the elements all the time (leave it on the truck) or do you bring it inside?
I am worried about rain and what not.
Come on man,...I told you about the low oil possibility the other day,...you need to listen the next time. By the way,..tone down the religious references,...there are potential customers viewing this site,..so we need to conduct ourselves in an acceptable manor.

Yeah you did tell me about the oil. The problem with those Ridgid compressors is that the dipstick doesnt tell you anything. There are a bunch of line on it, but they are not marked. I would have never guessed that it wouldnt start because of too little oil.

That feature is built into all Honda small engines.

My compressor has been in the back of my truck for three years. Works fine.
That doesn't prove that it's proper care for equipment. Do as you please,..but your comment makes out as though there's no need to care for your stuff.
