Porter Cable Compressor DEAL!

I was undecided on the 12v or the air setup, really wanted the air but the compressors are very expensive. Something told me to pull into the local pawn shop and take a look.  There it was a newer Porter Cable 5.5 horse and 11 cfm, the price tag was $300 and walked out with it for $250.00. It runs perfect, I believe I will be going the ALL FLOW set up from Lori. I just knocked off about $750.00 off my build. This kind of luck is normally not on my side.( Some one must be looking over me)

Great buy. I bought my Ridgid air compressor off Craigs list and saved $500 over a new one. I believe in buying used whenever possible. In fact everything on my rig is used except for the Delevan pump, battery and some hose. Anyone got a used All-Flo?

Here's a tip for people looking at used equipment that has a gas engine. You can gage the usage of the engine by looking at the muffler. If it shows a lot of rust you can be sure that it has been run quite a bit.

It pays to keep those eyes open and thoughts dreaming.  we just got an almost new titan industrial 5.5 horse 8 gallon for 275 on craigs list.  we were thinking the same thing that we wanted to start with air,  we are going 12 right off the bat, but we have a huge part of our air system ready to go in the bag.

i bought a used one that worked great for a while. last week it started acting up. it runs, but takes some priming. i got tired of messing with it and bought a new one at the depot the other day. it was a return and works great. has a warranty and was 250 bucks off. hopefully its the ticket. so far so good. almost everything on my rig including my pump is used. save where we can. thats one of the reasons i decided on roof cleaning, the fairly low overhead.

Those are some great deals on air compressors.

It seems like there are some great deals on craigs list, I need to look there more often.

There is no law saying an air compressor has to be bought new!
