How many of you have had problems with relays on 12 volt roof pumps?

This is heavy dudy starter relay mosy commonly found on mid 90's ford pickups. It is sealed so no contacts are exposed to the elements unlike a normal plastic relay. They can be found at your local auto parts supply.

Looks like a durable relay. Are you sure that will work on a Fatboy or just some 12v pumps.
To answer your question I have had problems with relays.
I have three 1/2" Diaphram's also.

My trailer is remote controlled.  It has an onboard PLC or computer which sends out a 12 volt signal that turns on or off the solenoid to the pump.  It can be controlled from up to 300 yards away.  The control board of the PLC is surrounded by potting material so that it is impervious to SH vapors.  Army wiring plugs are on the PLC to attach the control, voltage and radio cables.  Just turn the pump off when you are not using it instead of burning it up.  I guess those 4 years I went to college to become an electrical engineer with a minor in computer science paid off.  I never would have dreamed that I was going to end up in this profession.
