Would the Fatboy be a good choice for a first time rig doing residential jobs?

Thanks,
Mike

mike that would be an excellent chioce. Just get 1/2'' or 5/8'' hose and you should get 30 to 40 ft of stream easily with the right nozzle. just make sure you rinse it after every use. And i would get the 5300 delevan for 130.00 just for a back up becuase you just never know. hope this helps.

YES... or you could get two 5850 for around the same price, then you would have a back up on hand.

I have both the 5880 and the Fatboy. I really use the 5880 most of the time, the Fatboy does have more power....just most of the time more then I need. But a back up is a great idea.

Yep,  We use the Fatboys, use minium of 5/8 3/4 is better but 5/8 hose works great.  We use 5/8 and we can shoot 35 feet no problem.

Hey Scott,  Maybe this summer when business slows we can get together either at your warehouse or on a job.  I am glad the got that job we bid on the other week.  I do not like to work for people like that.  Word gets around the neighborhood.

Is that 40' straight,...or is that 40' feet sideways after the breeze catches it.

Fatboy will work for you, just have all your plumbing done right, there is a thread with a lot of pages about the fatbay pump, read that and it will help you out with setting it up. I used it at first but switch to air pump, good luck. Also pressuretek.com website has a video on setting up with the battery and wiring. Check that out also.
