Billy's post got me thinking: I wonder how many of us here use guns or ball valves. I started with the gun, but quickly realized I did not like it at all. I converted to a ball valve and will NEVER go back. I like the convenience of the ball valve and the ability to just hold onto it instead of pulling the trigger. The gun became a bit cumbersome for me, but I still keep it around as an ICE.
I use the udor gun, personally I love it for residential. When it comes to large commercial jobs or just large roofs I'd rather have the ball valve, a little easier on the wrists.

the gun will be great for what i do most barrel tile with no gutters so runoff is the biggest concern but ill still use the ball valve for shingle or houses with gutters but i dont get those to often i wish i did the are so much easier and take alot less time to clean

Thank you very much for the post. It seems that there is a definite split and need for both. I am going to get the repair kits. How long have the guns lasted? Lori
I tried the 1/2" poly gun and didn't like it. It was too weak, would not shoot as far, constricting the flow. It also didn't last, the trigger would stick.
If you like guns try Home depot's industrial garden gun with an adapter, bushing, and a stainless steel coupler with Lori's stainless steel tri-nozzle holder. It works good.

I use the 3/4" ball valves also.

Mike, does the gun come with bushing and adapter, or are you saying these are needed to attach tips? Thinking of trying this.
Roof Clean USA uses the Udor Gun and the 3/4" Ball Valve in both HD poly and in HDPE.
You can also find the 3/4" Ball Valves in Kynar (hard to get and expensive but lasts forever)
Personally, I like the qualities of both, the use in roof cleaning chemical applications for both is that each do certain things very well.
The ball valve is great for FLOW and GO! there is no worry of hand cramps as all you do is turn on the valve and go to town, but on occasions when you are in awkward positions it can be combersome.
That is when the Udor gun comes in very handy. With the UDOR gun, you can control flow with ULTRA fine precision, which means, shooting around dormers and cut up roofs with lots of eves and overhangs is much easier for me to shoot with more control and LESS runoff.
You can also order these UDOR guns from Bob over at Pressuretek.com
