DS on my first metal roof
Permalink

Got my first metal roof coming up.  It's 9 years old, looks like mostly dirt and bird poop on the surface.

Need to DS, as I don't have a pumping system yet (it's coming very soon!).

Planning on using my standard wand with my 0040 house washing tip and shoot from the ladder.  DS 10:1 a wild cherry mix (SH, F13, Simple Cherry)

I'm still learning about "sealing" products and applications, so any tips there would be great.

Thanks!

That's most likely the best way to Clean that Metal Roof. That one shouldn't take you long at all. It's nice to see a H/O Cleaning up BEFORE the Roof get full of Black Mold and Algae. I would definitely hit them up on a yearly maintenance Program to keep it looking that good.

If you have to stand on the roof anywhere --- be very careful. I did one once that was NOT steep at all but had to stand on the roof. VERY SLIPPERY!

This roof looks oxidized, if it is it won't come off very easy nor will all of it come off. the mildew and mold is easy to get off. Maybe it isn't oxidized I can't tell. downstreaming is not the best way to clean a metal roof. brushing works much better.
