I AM STARTING A ROOF CLEANING BIZ i HAVE BEEN PAINTING AND POWERWASHING FOR YEARS AND KNOW SEE A NEED FOR ROOF CLEANING. I AM LOOKING AT A 60 GALLON TOW BEHIND SMITH CO LAWN SPRAYER WITH A 5.5 POWER ENGINE AND A 200 FOOT HOSE IS THIS A GOOD STARTING POINT FOR A FIRST TIMER . LEITH WILLDOMILDEW.COM
I HAVE BEEN HITTING THE SEARCH BUTTON AND FOUND A WEALTH OF INFORMATION ON PUMPS, TANKS AND, RIGS IN GENERAL . I THINK I WAS RUSHING INTO THIS TO FAST. I THINK IM GOING TO GO WITH AN AIR DRIVEN PUMP INSTEAD OF GAS AFTER THE READING. LEITH WILLDOMILDEW.COM
I posted a pic of my pump setup its a yamada ndp 15 w/ teflon diaphragms w/ a ridgid compressor. I bought everything used it was'nt that expensive around $700.00 w/ kuri-tec hose and 55 gal drums (free from car washing business) fittings etc... Do alot of reading and searching and learn from the mistakes of some of the roofing experts on here. I'm learning too, but I'll be happy to help you in any way or share what little knowledge I've obtained. Good luck with your new business venture.

I LIKE YOUR RIG! I GUESS THE SH IS IN THE SMALL 5 GALLON TANK AND YOU MIX YOUR SAUCE IN THE 55 GALLON DRUM. I HAVE BEEN THINKING ABOUT PUTTING ON DEMAND SEYSTEM IN SO THE PUMP DOES NOT IDLE AND CHURN FOR PROLONGED PERIODS OF TIME. I ACTUALLY SAW AN OLD AIRPLANE FUEL PUMP THOUGHT I THOUGHT ABOUT IT! IM AFRAID I MIGHT MAKE A FLAME THROWER BUY ACCIDENT. QALL THAT FRICTION IN A PISTON PUMP. IM GLAD I FIGURED OUT HOW TO USE THE SEARCH BUTTON. WHEN I START MY RIG ILL SEND YOU SOME PICTURES'S

Air Diapraghm pumps can idle with no problems.
No need for a bypass back into the tank to relieve pressure!
Being a painter and all has anyone ever tried a paint sprayer to aply the love. I was looking at one that i dont use anymore and was wondering if any one had treied this. leith willdomildew
If you have an air compressor with a good size tank than you maybe able to get an air pump like chris mentioned, I run the yamada air pump but also if you have no air compressor than a fatboy delavan or even the 5850 would work good for you. If you run a fatboy just use a 3/4 hose set up all the way to a 3/4 ball valve. You will be very happy with that.
I have done all 3 and run the air diaphram pump now, the yamada pump, its great. You can look a lot up in the search for pumps, layouts, Chris, Mike, Dave, and a few others has all that there, great info.
Thanks for the advice man I was at the plumbing supply house today checking out ball valves and male to female adapters. I am still pricing out the rig options. leith will do mildew
