I changed the configuration on the ball valve because the plastic quick connect started leaking. Not spraying but dripping. I had plans to change it anyhow because the tips are easier to carry than extra ball valves. I have attached a new pic.
I want to mount a 150 gal. tank inside my E250 along with the rest of the setup. I saw someone posted a pic of a similar setup. Can anyone tell me why I shouldnt do this? Will I be overcome by fumes/chlorine or what have you? Is there a way to vent the fumes to the outside similar to a sanitary sewer system?
That is a female hose connector connected to my tank outlet. I just undo that and run water through the pump and hose from that and flush back into the tank.
No I do not rinse and I use customer water for the plants.
What's that trailer weight rated for Pat? I have a similar trailer I'm contemplating building a small set up for this winter. I'm thinking of stuffing a larger tank on mine since not much else will be on it. Reason being for more sign room I'm thinking? I think that's one thing most trailer rigs lack. I won't dare fill up a 250-300 gal tank on a trailer this small w/out brakes, but the tank will eventually go to a larger, box truck I'm looking at a few season away. Think I'm just looking for something to do this winter...
How is biz? Hope this season has been good to you pal.
Just need some clarification on the nozzles.... are they soap nozzles? spray nozzles?..Can someone tell me EXACTLY what nozzle type I should be getting..I am ordering from Oz and as much as I'd like to..can't stroll into a shop and check them out..we dont have such shops...
Jimmy, I don't think it realy matters, 12.5% or 15%. I am paying $2.55 gal for 55 gl drum. It's 12.5% and it does a great job. The most important thing is the freshness of the SH. Find out how often your supplier rotates his inventory. My guy here sells it to the local hospital who uses it for cleaning and sanitizing so they use a lot. That means the SH only sits in the warehouse for a couple weeks before it is sold to be used.
As far as the tank size, I use a 100 gl but rarely need to fill it.
Thanx Mr. Linscott. I'm Waiting on my tank. Everything else has been delivered. I ordered from Lori at PWP. I will assemble as per suggested on this sight then supply pics and welcome critique.
PAT HOW BIG IS YOUR TRAILER? IT SEEMS SMALL, DO YOU FIND THAT IT IS SUFFICIENT FOR YOUR BUSINESS? I'M TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WAS SIZE I'M GOING TO BUY? THANKS
They most likely are 3/4" PVC ball valves. Been using them for quite a while now.
And yes, asking Mike S. is a good thing. He knows his stuff! Just don't expect an answer from pros too soon as you can find this info from his previous posting(s) via search tool.
Search, read, repeat...

Douglas, It looks like Pats trailer is a 5x8, it's a perfect size for a beginner.

Yes it is a 5x8. and as stated before the setup has been changed. Trailer is rated at 3500 lbs and I was able to verify this by looking at the axle, it has a stamped tag stating this weight. I did upgrade the tires from what it had on it.
The ball valves are 3/4 inch and I have switched from 3 gpm nozzles to 4 gpm and it seems to work better. I don't think I will buy a hose reel for this as it is really fast to roll out and roll up, just a couple of minutes. 100' of hose on each side of the rear on the hose hangers. As you can see I went with the better hose rather than the vinyl. This hose is all rubber and does not kink. I have only filled the tank one time for that metal roof and house wash I did.
I have not timed it but I guess 2 minutes to roll out and maybe 5 to roll up. I just lift the hose off the hanger and walk it out 100' at a time. I have also since added a hose reel for the rinse hose that is a lot faster than rolling it on the ground and holds 150' of hose. I just screwed it down to the decking and use a bungee cord to keep it from unrolling.
All in all usually under 2 hours from roll out to roll up.
Not an ideal but not a bad set up for a limited budget. Around $1200 for everything including 2 ladders, tank, battery, trailer, hose and all the misc items needed.

On another note I started out with my existing GMC Envoy pulling the trailer. It did well but this was my wife's vehicle and she was not happy. Well the other day I went out and got a used truck so that I can keep all my equipment in. 97 F250 with a utility bed. It currently has crap destined for the dump from a non roof job in it but still need to get a ladder rack on it.

Pat their's that picture with your ladders bungee cord to your roof of the truck, did you get ladders racks yet? I seen once where a contractors ladders slid off and went right through someones windshield. Just try to set good standards for new members ok, especially if your going to post pictures.
LOL it must be the blindness. Those are not bungee cords and FYI this picture was taken 3 days after I got the truck. All those are holding the tarp not the ladders. Bungee cords do not hold ladders real well. Once again good try.
