This will be my 4th year. Thats if you can count the first year as it was before I found any of these sorts of boards and was able to learn from vets like Chris. I did a lot of experimenting and free roofs. Had a 4 gal back pack sprayer to start. It has come leaps and bounds since then.

Just starting our 3rd year! Thanks to all the great people at RCIA & PWI this year is going to be GREAT! Thanks Guys. I am learning so much!

I have owned or operated contract cleaning, pressure washing, roof cleaning and construction equipment companies most of my adult life putting in 20+ YEARS in the Contract Cleaning Trades, Off and On.

I have tried to diversify and to attempt a lot of other things throughout the years but I always seem to come back to spraying pressurized water and cleaning agents for money

The thrill of the chase and the excitement to see the BEFORE and the AFTER keeps it FRESH and keeps it INTERESTING.

I live, eat, breathe, sleep....Roof Cleaning and Soft Washing.

Its what I love to do!

I have been in the construction bussiness my whole life, the last 22 years in commercial roofing. Through the years I have replaced many shingle roofs that I now realize could have been cleaned!!! I have yet to clean any roofs but with the tremendous help of this forum I am getting closer and much more confident in getting my business rolling. We are all doing a great service to our country by saving people money and the undo stress to landfills. Education is the key to succession.

Started cleaning Cedar Roofs,decks ect. in 1986 to pay my way through school.

I am just starting out in the roof cleaning biz. Currently setting up a trailer, and hope to be complete in the next 2 weeks. I will try and take pics as I go along and document what I do. Hopefully this info can be useful to other new start ups in the roof cleaning business. I to am in the Janitorial business like Kipp.
Kipp, we will have to talk shop some day.

I'm going into year number 2. I have a full time job still so I do the roofs on nights and weekends. My full time job is in the automobile industry so I may be running this roof cleaning full time in the very near future. It's scary with all of these car dealerships closing. Could be the push I need to get me going full bore in the roof cleaning business.

Keep reading, all the info you need is on this site. I suggest you use the search button to get your answers. Also post less and read, read, read, and read some more. The more you read the more information you will gain.

I suggest you get a pen and paper and write things down as you read to refer to as your going along. The godfathers and others will not spoon feed the information as they have already posted everything that you would need to get started.
