someone said they had a fred sanford set up well I don't think they will beat mine. I am sure fred sanford himself would be proud of mine, 1979 gmc baby blue touch of rust here and there, got my free ladder rack on it and home made two by four railing system, to hold the 55 gln drum and the 30 gln drum, and once again a two by four tailgate, a matching blue ladder, oh man this thing is a beutiful thing, I am doing my best though and hopefully with some success I will upgrade my vehicle soon. I think the girls dig it though (or not)

Hello Chris (from Apple).  I have been in the roofing business for quite some time and have recently become interested in expanding to roof cleaning as well.  I have been looking for a supplier for SH 12.5% that does not charge a fortune.  From what I have gathered from reading the various posts is to check with the local water treatment plant and Univar.  All the SH that I found online is almost $12 a gallon.  Then I saw your post saying you were able to get it for 1.05 to 1.50 a gallon!  Would you mind posting what chemical supplier that is and if they offer shipping?  Looking forward to talking with all you professionals.  Thanks

I don't know of anyone outside the state of Florida that gets the SH for under $1.25 per gallon, they use a lot there!

You need to call around and get prices, most of the time prices on the phone will be different than what you see on the company website, probably trying to keep the competition out of the loop.

I get it here from about $2.50 per gallon more or less depending on how much I buy.

I am curious as to how most of the professionals on this forum get their SH chemicals. Does your supplier deliver to you or do you have to go to them? I read that one guy gets a delivering for his bulk container and then pumps what he needs for the day into a 55 gal. drum on his trailer. If I could just get a grasp on how to get the chemicals so I can even start experimenting on the roof. It is just such a headache right now to find a supplier. Well--I found one but they want $10 a gallon. I could not make a profit with that and I just do not want to pass that cost on to the customer. Your thoughts are as always much appreciated.

I get it from the same folks that supply wastewater treatment. Because of this it is super fresh at a reasonable cost. They do deliver, and I tell them every few months that I found a better deal to renegotiate price. They know this and actually read our forum now. I just purchased a barrel of 31% loramine oxide from them as well.

You guys are awesome!!! I never thought about laundry chemical suppliers. That opens a lot of possibilities for suppliers. For example, Chemtron Inc sell 15% SH in 5, 15, 30, and 55 gal containers. I am waiting for an email from them for the price. Keep you posted.

You have to keep shoppimg around so you find a better price.

I would not buy it for over $3.00 per gallon, you are not making profit at that price or higher and you should not make your customers pay for it either.

There are other sources out there, you might have to drive an hour or two to get the better deals but that is part of business sometimes, you do what you have to do.

Most places can ship but usually not to a residence so if you know someone that owns a shop or manages a shop you can have it delivered there and you pick it up there.

I still get mine from my power washing supplier. for like 20 25 gallons its 70 bucks? I'm gonna rethink all this. I do enjoy going up there and chating. Share knowlege, etc. Feed back on this, that. Hour drive though. Half a day gone gettin SH.

Michael I'm assuming you don't work in the area that you purchase your SH? Maybe you should start.

don't stop looking. I started out at over 3 bucks a gallon and then had to pay 150 bucks to get it deliverd. after several hundred phone calls and advice on who to call from the RCIA pros, I found it just down the road at a janitorial supply. for 2.58 a gallon in 15 gallon drums, now he lowered the price to 2.33 a gallon and said if I want 53 gallon drums it will be 1.96 pr gallon. he said if I start buying more we can work out a better price. so keep looking

From central Pa and in need of a better price also. I found out from a guy working at a water treament plant, they are paying 62 cents a gallon. Of course they get it delivered bulk. But he can't sell me any from there. 62 cents a gallon. I just can't get that out of my head.
