Good luck Chuck! I hope all gets better. I too have had the sun cancer problem....Melanomas or however you spell it. My dermatologist said it was due to being out in the sun when I was a kid too much. He prescribed me a medicine several times that would light my head on fire and look just like yours. Then he would freeze or cut off the rest. That was 2 years ago and I think I beat it. I sincerely hope you can too. That is why when you see me cleaning a roof I am not only wearing a face mask but also long pants, long sleeve shirt, & a broad rim hat that folds down and covers my neck. All I can say to my fellow roof cleaners is that we are not superman and bullet proof. The sun is your enemy. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. If you do not have skin cancer yet, you will have to face it in the future if you do not dress for success. Protect your self by wearing the appropriate clothing.
How are you doing Chuck? Haven't heard from you in awhile.
Hi Eric and thanks for thinking to ask about me.
I hurt my back a while back on a roof job.
I can hardly bend down and pick up a piece of paper off the floor.
I can only set at the computer for a couple of minutes at a time.
Recuperation [if possible without surgery] is 4 to 7 weeks. I have been to a couple of doctors, a physical therapist and and get weekly massage therapy.
Guess my days on roofs are over for a while.
The CAT scan also showed degenerative arthritis and a narrowing of my lower spine-whatever that means?
I do not recommend getting old!
Chuck

Sorry to hear about that Chuck. Yeah sounds like you need to lay low. They do heal though. Dont get too down. Recuperation can be boring and depressing. Keep your chin up, good to hear from you.

Thanks friends! Still can't sit at this computer for more than a few minutes. I had some physical therapy and was left with certain exercises I do. It's slowly getting better, but I still can hardly pick up a piece of paper off the floor, or get a gallon of milk out of the fridge. Like Arnold said "I'LL BE BACK"

If the rest of you is as resilient as your sense of humor you will be back doing roofs in no time. Hope and pray that everything will work out for you Chuck

Chuck Im sorry you are having so much pain. People that have not experienced back pain can't relate. I do know this and it's not just because it's Sunday. If we will all pray for Chuck to get better and put him on the prayer list at church as a friend. It would be the best help we could possibly give. I will do both for you today!
