Don't give up hope Brian. I'm sure as soon it gets a bit warmer up where you are your phone will be off the hook. We've been there before too.

put rock flyers together 2 weeks ago. I throw them on my way to and from my roof cleaning. I spent friday rock flying and putting on door hangers...

Eric I will look into Word press site in off season dont want to change for fear of starting over.

Zack I made 2500 rock flyers i did approx 800 on Friday and heading out today. I will email you a copy.

I got news for you, Brian Jackson and his 20 years of experience dont mean chit to a potential customer, UNTIL you have got their interest with some nice before and after pics, get some before and afters at the TOP of the page!

We are getting about one lead for every 280 rock flyers we throw. At the moment we are packaging rock flyers we have materials to make about 30,000 that we will be throwing in the next couple months.

Do u use florescent colored bags, or clear ones ?

It just finally warmed up here. Phone hasn't gone crazy yet. Almost all calls have been referals.

Its not starting over, its just starting with a good SEO foundation. The site will cost you $97 for the template and a few hundred to get it optimized. The majority of my work comes from my site. We can make a new page and the next day, find it on the first page of Google. Lisa is constantly adding content with ease on the Wordpress platform. Don't hesitate to give me a call and I will help you with anything I can on the site. Remember I am the all wise and knowing moderator with the big truck! LOL

Listen to Chris. About 5-6 yrs ago he told me to trash my website because it was crap and not ranking. Well, I didn't trash it but we did revamp it and made A LOT of changes. Long story short, we are now on the first page of every search and we are busy as chit. Right now we are 4 weeks out ( basicly because of 2 huge jobs ) and the phone is still ringing. If it we not for Chris being as blunt as be was I might have never made it in this business. Chris literaly saved my arse! And for that I am forever greatful.

But realize that the website is ranking very well.

I agree that some before and after pics at the top, even in a slideshow would be fantastic.

Brian I honestly think that it is due to the prolonged shatty weather we had up here.

I think what all of us are saying, is Brian needs to have a REASON for customers to call him, and that reason needs to be right at the TOP of his page.

This video, from my friend, and fellow RCIA Certified Roof Cleaner Larry Millette, is what I mean by giving customers a REASON to call you.

All potential customers listen to the same "radio station", it is called WII FM (What's In It For Me)

Larry's video clearly shows customers, what's in it, for them!

One reason that Larry is booked 4 weeks out, slammed with work, while Craigslist Tampa is full of roof and pressure washers selling their chit.

Brian,

You can get a WP blog attached to your website. You don't need to start over. After putting in about 30 quality blog hours, you will start getting some dividend. This is why organic SEO can run thousands if you hire a company. With all the work I've done I would self appraise my 2 websites at roughly $200K.

I guess I could be a little more "politically correct" Larry, and not so blunt. But I believe in "tough love", and often that is what it takes.

ED and Eric are correct, Brian Needs a Wordpress Blog attached to that site, and some roof cleaning pictures AT THE TOP of the page!

These people (who host the new RCIA Forum) http://www.tmdhosting.com/ have THE best deal going on Wordpress Hosting!

For about 30 bucks a YEAR, he can buy unlimited hosting from them, and they will even install Wordpress for him! They HAVE Wordpress in several versions, ready to go, for a FREE Install!

In fact, if Brian were smart, he would switch his entire website to them (they will even do the change over to their servers, at no charge)

Brian COULD have his entire website hosted there, including a Wordpress Blog installed on it, for about 30 bucks a year!
