I just ordered the Port Authority jacket in the pic below, with the American-ProTech logo emroidered on it for 44.95.  Not bad.  This same company offers an introductory polo shirt with your company logo for like 2.95 shipped. The link is here.

I've purchased LOTS of stuff from these folks.  I'll be glad to give you my thoughts on things you might be considering if I happen to already have them.

Ted, I took your advice on the Nike Hats, I love them. The first hats I bought lasted 2 days. The Nike hats are worth every penny, I would be curious what other stuff you recommend. Jackets look good. If you want, send me a PM or I can give you a call when your free.

(Looking professional helps the entire industry out IMO.)

 

Dan - would be happy to talk shop any time.  In the interim, here are some of the products I've been most satisfied with:

 

  • Adidas Clima-lite and Nike Performance (Dry fit?) shirts.  Both are pricy, but are good quality and look sharp.  
  • The shop aprons.  They're great if you're in street clothes and need to handle SH, or for the grill in the back yard.
  • Dickies work shirts - the best work shirts on the market for our business.  Wait for them to go on sale tho - regular price is too high.
  • The nylon shell jackets hold up fairly well.  I'mn going on 3 years with my other one, and it still looks good.
  • OGIO (sp?) gym bags are awesome.
  • The Storm-Tech ponchos and windbreakers are decent too.
  • I've just ordered a bunch of the hats in the pciture below.  Since they're poly, they should hold up well and are only $10 at the moment.

 

For the most part, the brand name products are of fairly good quaility.  I'd stay awa from the cheap "Queensboro" brand items, ie the low price cotton polos etc.  IMHO, they feel cheap and look cheap.  But you gert what you pay for.

I just received another fairly large order from these folks.  Even my wife and kids are sporting the Nike golf shirts with the company logo.  Presenting a professional, 'corporate-like" image does nothing but help the business and the industry.  Something for some to consider.  Not to mention  the poly based articles are very resistant to our go-to cleaning solutions.

I'll be trying out a embroidery franchise (brick and mortar) for some additional work and will advise.  As long as the threads they use are poly based, it should work out just fine and create additional options.
