We're still going strong here, so the first thing that I'll do when it slows down is take a much deserved break.
I'll then get caught up on some trout fishing, wrench on a vintage sports car I picked up recently, then it's back to business with major expansion plans for the rest of the off season.

Ted,
Take some time off and go fishing. It works wonders for me. I still haven't sold the Astro with the 135hp Mercury. Once that gets sold and I have enough money I'm going for either a Ranger or Bass Cat with 225 or 250hp. It might take me to the end of 2013 but that's my goal.

Hey I wanna improve my rig too. That is what the end of the day at the NOVA is going to be about.
I plan to buy another open trailer, Much longer than what I got now. Build it my self. This be my commercial rig. My own water supply, 500 gallons. Hot water and 10 gpm.

my new project is that i've vowed to take up duck hunting again. it used to be a passion of mine 15 years ago. One of my crew took me last week, and I realized how much I missed it, so I got my old boat back from a friend and began building an engine.
Found a "Thai mud motor" kit on line. It uses a Honda GX 390 (have two or three of those sitting around the shop.) Can't wait to get this thing up and running and go murder Daffy!
By using codes on ads where possible. When customers respond to the ad, they'll have to give the code to reference the ad before getting the deal, then I'll track on a spreadsheet. Besides that, I'll ask how they heard about us, google, referral, facebook, etc.

Another goal is to build a gutter guard display complete with running water that we can set up no effort. Not only can we mount it on the bed of the truck but leave it unattended near storefronts/businesses/shows/flea markets.

Hank - no doubt, fishing is medicinal.... I just sold the boat tonight to this guy that is shipping it to Russia?! Cash in hand, and his shipper will be here early next week. I truly HATE to sell it, but it sat ALL season in 2012. And you're not looking to buy a fishing boat - at 225 or 250 HP, that's more like a drag boat!
Damn I'll miss boat, but the new toy needs the garage space....
I was looking into a solar panel, if the battery is dead at the end of the day and you don't drive far and the next you don't drive far to work it wouldn't charge the battery up the whole way. So I was thinking about a panel so it would charge all the time.

I think there are some guys that have used the solar panel, I remember seeing it on AC's board. I would ask around to see how the charge works. If you have a box truck or trailer I think its an OK idea. In my case I have the ladders above the roof.
Also if the battery is ever low with hooking it up to the truck, all you need to do is turn the truck on, and sit in the AC, or Heat for a little bit, depending on the time of year.
Ending the season in a week then working on getting my marketing company started.
I'll do some networking and commercial prospecting toward the end of January, and I need to install a better training process, buy right now I just need a break from the chlorine & roof talk.
Another thing I wanted to work on is wiring my truck battery to my roof cleaning battery. I would like the battery to charge as I drive. Sometimes I forget to charge the battery at night. Anyone else hooked up this way?
I'm hooked up that way, Danny. I paid a local shop $100.00 to wire it up. I run a delevan 5850. It's been great. Haven't even looked at my battery all year!

Glad to hear that Jason, did they go from your hitch? or from the alternator? I am going the route Ted showed, seems very easy
No more painting until after the holidays. Art invited me over to see his new setup maybe I will steal some secrets....I think he said he was buying breakfast also? Make it lunch Art I like to sleep late this time of year.
