Agreed ... and most customers, at least the ones we prefer doing business with, recognize value & are willing to pay for it. If I'm asked if I can lower my price, cause so & so charged less, I typically explain that if they're looking for cheap, I'm not their guy. I offer value and for a reasonable price you get great service.
Next season I'll have better customer service support, upgraded chemicals (bleach/plant/fresh wash), a second truck which decreases the risk of cancellations, 24/7 emergency clean up, and will be offering a 3-5 year guarantee ... hence the anticipated 2013 price increase.
When a customer trys to negotiate price, I tell them that we give a cash discount, if they still want more. I will knock off like $25 if they leave my yard sign for a month.

Your not kidding Mike! You knock down some GIANT homes up there! For a while there, I didn't see you post pics of anything under 3,500 sf.
