i was thinking the same thing as Jeff but that bush to the left would give you a soft landing! and it looks like the legs are kind of secured from where the grass meets the mulch.
how'd the voting go yesterday?

Funny job here. Homeowner had his house cleaned, and then cleaner offered to clean roof also. After they lobbed the first squirt of sauce on the roof, they realized it was a little too much for them to handle and pulled off the job.
HO had been living with a partially cleaned roof for over a year until they found Spray Wash. We knocked the job out in short order and restored it to its original brilliance.
That ladder wasn't climbed in that position, that's the HOs ladder. he got ambitious and wanted to begin trimming the tree. We access the roof at the valley.

I'm ok with the ladder being that straight, but I would definitely have stabilizers. Ray how did you spray the left side? My guess is they bailed because the left side looks 3 stories? Nice clean up.
Ray that really shows the value of professionalism in our craft. This is an opportunity to really fix a mess for a householder and when you get results like that, they really become a valuable ally in your business.
You guys always do a really great job. No wonder Spray Wash is the go to company in Tallahassee FL!
This roof was accessed at The front door area, I like the stability of the concrete for the ladder there. We then walked up that valley to the peak of the roof and sprayed from the peak. It was so much easier to get up on the peak and spray than to log a ladder around that three-story monster.

Nice job Ray! What was the company's name who ran away from that job with their tails between their legs? If you don't want to post it here on the open side, post it on the other side or shoot me a text.
Homeowner wouldn't tell me their name! I would love to know!!!! You could tell he wanted nothing to do with them ever again. The house was in Millstone Plantation off Live oak, very ritzy area, and HO was very embarrassed by the looks of his house.

Nice work! I can definitely sympathize with the other company, I got myself into situations that I had to pull out of early in this business and felt like total crap about it. Looks like they were off to a good start, but at least the HO found you guys to finish it up!

Roof Cleaning and Pressure Washing in Anne Arundel County, and Howard County, Maryland
Looks like you touched up the chimney, I could not have lived with a half cooked roof for a week if that was my house, we have cleaned up a few where the homeowner or a handyman had dumped bleach or roof reviver on it. Good blog material.
Why would the customer set a ladder up that way to trim a tree,..whether trimming Christmas lights or trimming with a cutting tool,..doesn't look to make any sense to me at all.

I have no sympathy for the other contractor, that house was more than straight forward and once at the ridge you could wash that in no time. That pitch is a typical house in new jersey. If you dont think you can do the job than dont bid it.
That's your typical pitch!? That is a little steep for my liking, but you gotta do what you gotta do.
Dan,
You're half my age and certainly in better shape than this old man. I would and you could walk that valley right to the peak and shoot the roof from there. Above the garage you'd need a 40' ladder and have to move it twice to get around that chimney. Always have respect for the environment you're working in and you'll be ok. In the spring I'll take you up the roof of a customer's house here in Stroudsburg with a view to die for. We can have lunch up there.

Who knows why customers do the things they do. It doesn't matter as long as it doesn't effect one of our RCIA brothers.
