Mike I have a Samsung tablet also. I have before and after pics for presentations to customers, schedule appointments and a ton of helpful apps. Your going to find that there are people that will say there is no comparison and iPad dominates. I find that because Samsung Tablet is windows based it has more options and way more apps you can download. I think your going to be pleased with it. I know I am (when I can get it get it way from my son)!

I keep pdf's of insurances, bulletins, pics, brief videos of softwash in action. People love the interaction and they get more than they expected from a phone call. I give estimates on the road by looking up properties on different maps. Im a huge believer of selling the job on that initial phone call. Striking while the iron is hot. There are 2 types of shoppers: 1- shoppers who waste your time and are willing to waste hours of their own time trying to save $50. 2- people who just want it done as long as your price is not absurdly rediculous.
I personally am the 2nd type of shopper. I will pay a bit more to get something easily and when I want it, which is usually now.
@ Mike ... I'm obsessed with my ipad and use it for everything (see Ed). The single best feature is that you can customize your sales presentations instead of using a generic pitch book. Trust me Mike, this makes a huge difference.
What I mean by this is 2 things ...
1) After I do a roof, I take my before and after, then hand out flyers to the neighbors. Two days later, I knock on those doors with my ipad. So now I have a lawn sign, flyer, a before and after pic of someone they know, and my ugly face.
2) When I go on an appointment, I customize a presentation for that client. So if a customer tells me on the phone they have a stucco home, need the exterior cleaned as well as a composite deck, I simply insert my pictures with the services they're looking for. I always like using the neighbors opposed to some random Joe so they can relate a little easier.
Also, the ipad is cool to the customer. It's not over the top but it separates you from the competition. It makes you look more professional and often the presentation leads to an invite inside, which (and I don't have numbers to support this) definitely increases the odds of a sale, and the sale of future services as well.
After my 2 minute presentation I email them a copy of the proposal ... saves paper (which I was surprised a lot of customers appreciate) and now I have their email as well as the proposal in my computer. If they accept, I simply cut and paste onto my work order and invoice form, send it to my calender, and when I get home I just click print and I'm ready to roll.

What is the best samsung tablet? Is their different modles?
Galaxy Note 10.1 ... not Samsung but the Nexus 7 is an amazing tablet, especially for the money
* I just read on Yahoo that Samsung & Google are making a 10 inch tablet, if you prefer Android to Apple and want a 10 inch screen, I'd wait & see.
Personally I'm starting to prefer Android. I have a macbook, ipad, and planned to get the iphone 5 but was disappointed. I hoped the ipad mini would be out before my son's birthday, but Apple hasn't announced the release date, which sparked me to look into the Nexus 7.
I'm not partial to either company like some people are, I just think the ipad 2 is one of the best devices I've ever owned. I still prefer it to the 3. If I were getting a 7 inch tablet I'd probably go Nexus 7, I don't think the ipad mini is going to be worth the wait.
Did you see the Note 2 yet? I do a lot of drawing so it's perfect for me.

Thanks Mike, I'm a big fan of Samsung because of their phones(I have the Galaxy sIII). I'm not a apple juice drinker so the ipad is out. I just watched a video of the galaxy 10.1 vs the Nexus 7 and the Nexus looks like a big winner right now. I need to do a little more research before I but one.
