We just put out 9000 pieces between 2 towns eddm. I swear we spent 3/4 day sorting and dropping off. Thats me, my wife, and my salesman lent a hand for a short while. It was work.
As far as time goes yes post cards are the bomb. The rock flyers go out in the slower months (february,july and november). I have only done 5000 post cards and 2000 rock flyers all year and I have been doing 25 thousand plus in sales since march. If i did the counts that joe did i would or should have done well over 40 thousand in sales per month.
We do and try a little bit of everything in marketing, you never know where you next job may come from. Print media is tough, mailings and hangers sometimes works. We get calls from signs. Internet and referrals are our best calls. One thing is for sure, you got to be seen by HOs that want our service. With the current RE market, finding people that still want and can afford to maintain their property can be challenging.

Ya i agree with Joe here, I am also in my first year so we have been advertising like crazy. Tossed about 6000 flyers and have been running newspaper adds regurarly. I never mind the advertising costs as long as the returns keep coming.
I missed one post where you said 20 k was the quantity of flyers a month on the worth. What I read was "been doing very good with the campain.. running roughly 25k worth of fliers a month as well as some back covers on a midweek.." I figured that you must be rich or going out of business because you can't afford to spend that much a month advertising. I don't spend that much in a year anymore, but when I 1st started advertising cost me about $35K a year.
