I had been having trouble with my Google Places page and assumed it was something I did by changing some info. I finally had it sorted out about 2 weeks ago and my page reappeared. Then however, over the weekend, I discovered it had AGAIN disappeared! I immediately contacted Google trying to get my page back on Google Places. After doing some searching, I discovered you can view the changes that have been made over time. What I discovered was that my page had been removed by someone on April 4 and then on May 12th, someone tried (but failed) to delete my page all together! I have several other Placw pages and none of them were edited so I am sure it was someone who is tired of being listed under me in Google searches! Guess good old competition scares the chit out of some people! Luckily, I figured this out before too much damage was done and my page will be returning live very soon! My account is now also protected by Google's double verification system which requires a password, username AND a code that will get texted to me at login. Google is now investigating the events and told me they will take immediate action if the "hacker" is discovered. Gotta love those haters who try to bring you down!
