Here is what I was talking about. the brass nozzle I bought on ebay and the nozzle allows you to add this type stuff. The nozzle is metal with a plastic coating, which is nice but is not necessary. After you spray the far points, remove brass and use the different spray patterns that the nozzle offers. With the brass nozzle on I can now spray around 65'.
For my 5850, I use 3/4" suction and 5/8" with 300ft of hose, a ball valve and a tri-banger with various tips. I can shoot 31 feet. This is what I use for rinsing. I use an All Flo for solution with same hose and tips and can get 30 to 40 feet, depending on wind. I've had my 5850 for 3 years hooked up to a deep cycle marine battery, connected using 12 wire and have never had a problem.
mike use a plastic ball valve with a 1-2ft piece of pipe with a 45* elbow with a 1/4 inch quick connect (stainless steel) the use your 0030 or 0040 spay nozzles and also 1530 or 1540 spray nozzles for a wide up close pattern. I use the allflo and get around 35-40 ft with no wind. I also use a 5/8 line for suction, and 1/2 yellow kuri tek line for spraying and i have no problems with flow. i will be trying the 5800 out this week to see how and if it is feasable for us to use. We do anywhere from 8-12 roofs a week, plus we use the allflo to clean stucco and we do atleast 3 stucco cleaning a week as well and i have a feeling the delavan wont be able to handle that on a consistant basis.
My reason for trying the 12 volts out are becuase im tired of the gas bill related to the compressor and would like to see how much i can save by switching over to 12 volts.
Chris how much are you paying for the Pentaflex? I looked one up the other day at Pauls store and its like 5 bills. Not only should that baby suck, she better *******! Thats a lot of money.
I have had my alflow for 3 years now with no problems. I also have a big 13 hp 30 gallon compressor pushing it. That little entry level pump will out spray any 12 volt pump in my opinion and outlast for sure.
Price, proformance and size. I'm going to move up now. The space of 2 battery boxes, not much more room on the trailer. Am I stuck with another 12 volt, and upgrade lines.
Mike, in the video, it looks like the inlet fitting is smaller than the outlet. If this is the case, your starving the pump. Call Bob @ Pressure Tek and he will hook you up with the proper size inlet/outlet fittings.

I got mine from Bob at Pressure Tek, it was just a tad more then a fat boy.

The big air compressor is what's doing it. They do not spray as well with the smaller air compressors.
Also isnt it true that you can have 1 inch inside diameter hose and 3/8 inside diameter fittings on it. You got nothing better than a 3/8 inside diameter line???
The smaller ID fittings slow the flow down?
Just like an elbow slows down the flow?
Also I seen a vid of a 12 volt with 1/2 inch line shoot about 40 feet.
I have an idea about a new gun too. I'll get the stuff tomorow and put it together, rewire the boxes, hook up this lil cheap 4.2 gpm 12 volt I been sitting on instead of hooking the 7800 back up.
Here's what you need Mike. Probably get it for under $500.00.
Ingersoll Rand diesel air compressor 15 cfm 175 psi model 50-6840 s/n 667/P65. GL will provide tailgate loading, load out and preview by appointment only.
I am changing my gun Gary. I been using this because it was cheap and what I started with. Thanks for the eye opener that the gun could be holding chit back
Chris what is your opinion on Penta vs Fatboy? I'm rockin the fatboy now, I love it, but there are some homes, where I know I am gonna need a bit more distance. I didn't think bob sells the all flo line? Also where do you guys buy the lance extensions?

Got to be ready for that job Tuesday.
NOT at all, and here is why, the pressure and flow drop in a system is due to the TOTAL system losses. In your example Mike you have a 1 inch hose probably 200 feet long, right ?
The 3/8 fittings are a small part of the overall length of the total system.
