just got mine all set up today.. seriously, customers are going to be amazed i think when i send them a estimate from their driveways.. it just looks professional... plus i can get the little add on and swipe credit cards on it also..
For starters, I hate quickbooks. I still haven't gotten mine setup on the computer completely. I do like the idea of quickbooks from Ipad how do you do it. I like the idea of sending estimates by email but so far I have been leaving the estimate and the contract. So they get it, they sign it, they pay it.
+1 Intuit on the phone but always avoid the credit cards =)
well i literally just set up the tablet yesterday.. but i've been using quick books since day one.. customers seem to really like it that i can email them a invoice, and do a lot of the after work through email.. i've had a few customers not want to use email. but really its been 98% that love it..
i think just being able to do it faster will help in the over all professional apperance of the company in general.
I use Quickbooks and have had great success. I do not however use them for my credit card processing. For that, I use Square, they have no set up fee or monthly fee and their per transaction fees are reasonable(as reasonable as credit card fees can be! LOL). I have found most people like the conveince of receiving their estimate or invoices instantly via email.
as for written estimates.. they are written.. in their EMAIL haha... i dont leave paper at their house. plus, half the time my clients are at work, while im estimating their house.. I do a lot of phone work with them either when they call, or after then contact us.. and then i call again 24 hours after i email them the estimate..
most of them say im the only one actually following up.. basics people basics lol
