I know one of the Roof Shampoo guys in the area fairly well, and he's a decent guy. But the gorilla marketing that they employ as a company overall is really getting old. How many times do you hear "you don't use bleach do you?" You then have to re-educate the client, properly. All due to their mis-information.
It's time to quit monkeying around and present a a good visual of what a "calibrated gentle rinse" of 800 PSI may look like.
EXCELLENT TED ! Simply a GREAT way to educate homeowners.... RCIA, as an organization should produce something, such as you have, that is uniform.... so all of us can be educating the SAME way.... with repetition and consistency... homeowners will recognize the truth and the difference between our methods, and those other guys. NICE JOB Ted !
Ed - please do use it, although it's not mine. Someone here on the RCIA gave me persmission to use it a LONG time ago. I've since forgotten who it was. One day I still plan to use your licehn pics that you gave me permission to use.

Roof Shampoo has signs all over in my area and it seems more like a SHOW than anything practicle or SAFE for the roof. I have not seen this done on a steep roof must be a joke! The sad part is that their marketing seems to be working all over.
I don't know which is driving me more nuts these days - the mis truths from the "franchise" (dealers as they call themselves) or the newer RCIA guy around here, Half-Price Harry..... He must be hurtin' for money or something.
We were awarded a big job (small mansion) today after about a week of discussion with the client. We were actually more expensive than the Shampoo boys this time, and still beat 'em. It's been a great day!

Gotta give 'em credit for JUST 1 THING.
The idea of using the word "Shampoo"
In spite of being probably the roughest roof cleaning method there is - It sure sounds gentle!
