Came across this roof while taking pictures for a new flyer that I putting together.
It's a shake roof on a closed auto dealership. As you can see it's really take uo residence on this roof.
What's eating this roof?
Jim - I find this on asphalt shingles in my area from time to time, especially on Mansard roofs with a heavy northern exposure. Although I don't know what it's actually name is, I've coined the phrase 'mustard algae', cause I have to call it something
It does not like to come off of asphalt shingles......

Pinky did a house that had some of that. It was the first time he had ever saw it. Sprayed it 2-3 times and it wouldn't disappear. Went back 2 days later with something different and it was gone when he got there. SH will remove it, just takes a day or 2.
