Asbestos roofs

We have quite a few asbestos roofs in our area(Chicago). They typically are 75+ years in age.  Very little moss or licken. Just plain dirty.  Is the appearance caused by long term air polution or is something else happening.

This inquiring mindwould like to know

My insurance would not cover me on cleaning them. Just took a pass on a 1500 job. Heavy moss on that one.

with the rules the government has set for dealing with asbestos, it is best to walk away from any job that includes it. ( thanks to all of our leaders for making it so hard to work for your self)

agreed ... the risk isn't worth the reward ... maybe try using it as an opportunity to network with a roofing contractor?
