I am actually going to start my marketing plan the last week of february.. still making some changes to my website and stuff like that...

I'm also waiting on some more marketing material that i have being printed up.

I'm gonna wait until we get a nice 3 day span of 45-50 degrees just when people think that spring is starting. They typically are outside doing some spring cleaning. Wham! hit em with a rock flyer.

No more rock flyers for me, I think it is very ineffective, and it takes alot of effort to pack them up, I have made a commitment to my self I will not keep doing the same stupid chit over and over again this year lol

I know it's a hit or miss thing, but as a whole, it's not good, It's littering.

We are starting the last week in feb. We only did 10000 rock flyers last year and did about 45000 in work from them. They work you just need the right material on them.

I am going to do a mix of alot of things, I just think the rock flyer is so ghetto.

What would you do if you stepped out of your car and twisted your ankle on a rock that some cheap skate threw in your drive.

I really don't think people appreciate businesses throwing chit on their property.

So what is your marketing campaign going to look like if your not throwing rocks? I do understand the whole littering thing, but I also feel like a direct mailer, may just get tossed in with the other mail.

Its not littering its just another form of advertising that is very effective if done right. If you haven't tried it then don't knock it.

clyde if i twisted my ankle on a little rock i would hit the gym more and i wouldn't tell people how i got hurt do to being embarrased.

We had a few nice days last week here in Central Illinois. I went out and tossed 200 rock/flyers to homes that had dirty roofs. As of today, I have done 4 quotes from them and have 3 nailed down when spring rolls around.

Working on a shoestring budget they seem to work for me.

I tossed out some rock flyers yesterday and some angry Middle Eastern woman called and said I threw rocks and dented her car. She claimed she was on the "do not throw" list and I will be getting a bill to fix the dent. Every word I said to try to appease her was answered with "I don't care".
