Mine is just a 13hp Marcus, but we will get up there eventually!!! This new trailer build, that's been on hold quite some time now, is gonna max out the lil bit bigger trailer, 1 ft wider and 2 feet longer. get electric start then the 3 300 ft hose reels and get started building!
So glad spring is almost here!!!

I found instructions on how to do it, but cant copy and paste. Or copy the 2 pics. Wasnt real helpfull, but is some help.
I thought it attached from the pump side, but it goes behind rope pulley. So all that comes off first, you have to take a hole saw and cut out the "knock out" for the body of the starter, add the thing that makes electricity, put on the new flywheel, hook up the key box thing, just put it all back together! Sounds pretty easy! The kit is round 150 with shipping!

Dont ask the company any questions about it, I called them on the phone, thinking it went on pump side. He didnt dissagree, just said it was all I needed. No tech support there. lol!
just went and took a pic of the outside, where the starter goes. cant see punch out from outside, pic I cant copy shows the punch out on the inside, I'll have to take the cover off to see if I see the same thing as in the pic, that I cant copy.
Got a Question Marcus, How does your starter bolt to the engine?
Some holes are going to have to be tapped out, I think. The larger holes you see are the ones used to mount the starter. I think? The wiring you see goes somewhere else.
The 2 holes pointing to the left need to be tapped out and that is how to mount the Key box?

We added elec start after plastic was sucked in to the motor, the plastic came from the pull cord rubbing up against cover where the gas and choke levers are. The motor seized up, it was cheaper to re-place the motor that it was to clean out the plastic. The second best thing I added after our first bleed off hose was a larger valve to let air out quick for easier starts. The dealer cost to add the elec start was about 200.00. I think a new motor was about 325.00. All because we allowed the pull cord to rub.
