The psi will not have to be the same. The psi will end up being that of the lower psi machine. This is because both machines have unloaders, and once that psi is reached on the unloader with the lower setting, the remaining psi will be lost in bypass and sent back to your tank.

I've seen parts on someone's website on how to do it. I think it was a T.

To set this up, you will need pressure trap unloaders on both machines, 2 whip lines, and a high pressure tee. Connect the whip lines to the outlets on each machine. Then connect the other ends of both whip lines to the high pressure tee. Use the 3rd outlet on the tee to attatch your pressure hose too.

Chris I don't think mine is set up that sophisticated, but thanks for helping out here, because I'm not sure, my mechanic set it up for me.

Lol.  Clyde, I would bet thats exactly how yours is set up.  It doesn't get any simpler.  Some people will add check valves between the whip lines and the tee.

I've never used check valves when hooking 2 machines together and have never had a problem. I say they are not necessary. There's a post on pwi discussing this topic. It seems the opinion over there is the same, not necessary.

Russ over on PWI sells a set up.  It even has back flow valves on it so pressure can't come back to one machine from the other.  I have one that I use from time to time.  Works great.

I wouldent think you need check valves but its a good idea for if one machine shuts down or somthing so dosent backfeed pressure

Another good reason is that you can use one machine if you need less flow.
