Just got 2 jobs for roof and house washes on both. I gave both these people estimates in july. I am thankfull for the work but WTF why wait till its cold. They must think we work better in the cold. This is a wacky business.
We've got the same problem Mike. Over the past 2 weeks, we've gotten 5-6 calls to schedule jobs we had bid in the summer. I think the worst is a cedar house. Was bid in May for a strip / stain and now they are ready to have it done.
We did two jobs this week, and have one tomorrow, it's December 1st and we are still getting calls and hits, when you live in the mid west with all the wacky weather this summer, getting all in we can. This time of the year is great, we can mess the mulch up, leafs are down. I hope that it stays like this all winter, high 40's, mid 50's, frost is on the roofs, we just rinse it off, let it drain down and let it bake a little, then spay. Might try a pre-heat with some hot water, maybe about 100 degrees to see if that loosen up the shingles. Added some IPA today, hard to tell if it made a difference.
well i did two roofs and a house wash today about 6hrs worth of work for about 1100.00. started at 10 and home by 4. I would say that is not bad. I hope i can grab some more before it just gets too cold.
