How long between coats

Hello all,

If the first treatment doesn't remove all the bleak algae in 10-15 min, do i wait til the roof dries then re-apply or just re-coat it as soon as i'm finish with the first treatment? Their has to be a rule of thumb.

Thanks for all the help you guys have given me.

How long to wait? That depends on the temperature, the colder it is the longer you have to let it sit so it can work. No matter really what the temp. I give about 10-15 minutes between coats.

I've gotten into the habit of waiting for it to almost dry before doing any touchups, hard to tell on a wet roof.

If it is 60 and in the shade that could be one long wait.

Like Gutterdog said, the closer you can wait until it dries, the better the chance of an effective touch up.

As a rule of thumb, we usually attack the dirtiest portion of the roof first. That way it has more dwell time and we can usually tell if a second application is necessitated before we roll up our equipment.

We do what Art does. Pre-treat real bad spots that look like trouble than go over the entire roof.

Hitting the bad area's first and then spaying the rest of the roof make great sense!

Thanks for all you input guys.
