Discussed over the years on other forums,..GOLD MOLD,..is what we termed it. I'm fairly certain that the original poster came up with the finished results by using a combination of mix and agitation. Mold of that physical degree and TYPE doesn't disappear that quickly,..(3 days)... and under the partial shelter of a dormer,..Yea right!
Jeff
Tsk Tsk Tsk. I don't lie. 3 days and no agitation. Splashed it on and left it. 2 & 1/2 days it was gone.

Jeff in agitation I guess they some how are scrbbing it? I'm able to kill it and have had no complaints yet of it not coming off over time. I don't power wash but I have also noticed it on brick and slate, Str8 Sh does not kill it there.
Agitation can mean scrubbing with a stiff brush or the use of prssurized water, either from a pw or even a garden hose, but something other than three days of time removed it. Reminds me of "scrappy",..he posted a photo of a roof full of lichen, and I think he said it was the next day after a rain storm and it was all gone,...he was called out on it as well.
Yes, I explain to my customers about moss and lichen and the time it takes,..I never have anyone complain neither.
Welllll little Jeffy. Feel free to call me out on it. The homeowner doesn't seem like the type to have hosed it himself. So what you see in the pic. and what I said happened is the way it is. So you are just going to have to deal with it. Frankly Scarlet, I don't give a damn!

have you guys ever used a garden hose with one of those turbo tips from Home Depot to remove lichen? if i have a homeowner that's putting their home on the market and can't wait the typical month or so for it to naturally remove itself that's usually what we do ... takes an unnoticeable amount of granules off but if that's what the customer wants, that's what they pay for, and that's what they get
I have used a garden hose with the screw on " jet nozzle " { no adjustment just a str8 solid stream } on roofs blasting off lichen and moss....big mistake. If it's heavy I tell them I will return in six weeks to give it a rinse for a fee. The fee usually results in them letting it come off on its own.
