I've been hearing good things recently about the Green Wash from more and more people. Personally I have no issues at all with AC and I really don't care what his history is, if he has a product that's gonna put money in my pocket I'll use it. Anybody in PA or NJ use it yet?
I am not from there but I do like the green wash.
Jeff, that was awful big of you to become a premium member. It is not what you get out of it but what you put into it.

Whaa Whaa!!! I am not advertising and there are no prices. I have been doing this a lot longer than you have so don't even go there. I have been doing this before you even knew what roof cleaning was. I don't need to be a premium member because there is NOTHING that I need to learn. I don't ask anyone how to clean this or that nor do I tell them how. When I forget how to properly clean stuff 1500 miles away from you I will become a premium member and ask you personally.
thats great jeff but the forum rules state that to promote your business you must be a premuim member. I didnt make the rule i am just following them and i think you should as well. You are promoting your work aren't you? come on up and ill show you how we get things done in jersey.
I may just call you while I am in Jersey. I have a lot of family from Hoboken and Jersey City and all through out the North East. I gotta see how you clean roofs in the arctic conditions.
were going to use the green wash, this is the product AC told us that would work in the Artic conditions. Ac is Mikes Uncle in case you didn't know that.
Amazing, the things you can learn on a roof cleaning website!

Hi Marcus, say, when myself and another member of RCIA split a shipment of Green Wash and put it through tests { This is not a put down of Green Wash, it's a legit question } we liked the smell of it, but saw little else that it accomplished?
I need thicker mixes more than anything, because I do 95% tile. I got the proper mix ratio and if it made the mix any thicker at all, it was undetectable to me?
It smelled GREAT-but the quantity needed to begin to mask SH made it too expensive to use as a mask?
I did not try it on shingles, just tile, because that's what I need, is something to further improve controlling runoff. The person who split the shipment with me used it on shingles and when we talked, he said his results were about the same as mine.
I know you have used it for a long time and you do tile roofs too.
How do you solve the above problems? Are you adding something to the GW to help it work on tile?Has the formula changed sine it 1st came out and we tried it?

One question , did i say anything about ac in this whole thread or any other why dont you just drop the i hate ac thing and see that he can help you or find someone to help you maybe a doctor or something.
Clyde with all due respect and i mean with all due respect you must be drinking again. You are insane and need help. Professional help. Its called respect not affection and if you cant see that then i feel sorry for you. Do us all a favor and go do some work.

In spite of my relationship [or lack thereof] with AC, a good product would still be be a good product!
Hey Chuck,
In a nutshell the GW will not slow the SH mix from running of of the roof. If you want to semi do that add Ammox Mo. The GW does mask the smell but it also has ingredients in it that retard regrowth for 5 years and a surfactant that breaks surface tension so that it spreads out over the surface easier. I see that more on shingle roofs.
How is business Chuck? It is dead slow in Houston Texas... Hopefully it will weed out my competition.

Thanks Marcus,
I thought Green Wash was advertised as an "all in one" roof additive for SH & Water, so I was looking for it to do more than it was meant to do, I guess?
On a 50% SH / Water tile roof mix, how much GW do you add, that will actually mask the SH odor?
Also, what did you use as a surfactant before you started using GW?
As to work, I have been ridiculously busy for the last month!
To be this busy before Thanksgiving Day-when our first wave of snowbirds hit Flporida, is unusual! My next open work day is Oct 27th!
Hope work in your area gets picking up soon!
Chuck

I have to agree with you on that. I'm still a "visitor" on this site and that's alright with me. I'm ready to end my 18th year in the powerwash / roof cleaning field and next year looks just fine too. I learned lots on my own and have no problem sharing things that work and things that do not work. I would like to post pictures of a Pulsed Width Modulator system I put together to keep from blowing pressure switches and relays on my Delavans but a "visitor" can't post that type of material. I'll put it on the Grime Scene or PWI when I get a minute to edit it together.
I have never been hurting for more business; Honestly I usually have more than I can keep up with and often pass the extra or unwanted work to others. RICA charges 100 dollars a year to become a premium member and I have no problem with that. If people need help with SEO searches it's probably a good investment for them. There are others like myself that don't need that type of help. I claim a good reputation and lack of compitition to be chief factors for this. I'm not being cheap for not being a premium member... really a 100 dollars isn't much, but..... what is there in return? I don't need the SEO. The SEO (I think) is the main thing people get out of being a member. Well worth it if you need the leads. Personally I just like to read about other's experiences / stories in our field and maybe relate some of my own. Sometimes to learn and sometimes to laugh. When I get a minute I'll tell you how I put a live bee's nest into my truck before I left a job site last week. (I thought it was a dead nest).

Best wishes to all, Eric.
You Bee Right Rick!
Not everyone wants or needs to pay the $100 to be a Premium member.
On the "Premium" side, there is more out in the open, info. But if you don't need to learn anything new, it's not needed. I don't need it, I want it!
You also need to be "Premium" to become a "Certified" roof Cleaner with RCIA-but not everyone needs that either? I don't need it, I want it!
There is also the SEO, as you said, and the ability to do what you now have to go to The Grime Scene and PWI to do. Again, I don't need it, I want it!
But your point is valid. Not everyone "needs" to become a "Premium Member"
I don't need to be, I want to be!

I usually use about 64 oz in a 100 gallon mix. The solution is supposed to reduce the amount of SH that you have to use.

It ain't fun, being so busy, but it's more fun than being short on work!
I guess we should be flat out happy!

I am thrilled from here til June, because July, August and half of September doing 8 or 9 jobs a week kinda stinks. So from here until June I am saving 6 months worth of bills so I can enjoy my summers fishing offshore and no work worries in the July and August heat I will sub out that work to my buddy Josh.
I have never been able to explain why the summers are always dead. I do have my theories and a job I sold today might have put an end to that question. She told me that she wanted to wait until now because she would feel bad having someone cleaning her roof in the heat of summer. It is still hot but a lot more tolerable.
I just want to hear drag stripping in the summer and fighting stuff off the bottom of the Atlantic.

Rub it in some more lol... I do not know why Florida is doing so well. I had assumed it was the economy. We had a severe drought but finally got some rain yesterday. I had hoped that the phone would ring today after all the rain we had but not one call. We have no jobs booked and I hear from not only roof cleaners, but many other small businesses that they are very slow...

Overall, Florida is not doing well.
That's why it is odd that I am so busy and so is Jeff Worth up north of me-Chris Tucker is too!
It may all fall through soon though?
Things will pick up for you too, it's half, just a crap shoot!
