Yea I dont know Rick? I got 2 used (overheated?) pumps right now I'm thinking about taking apart and see how they work. Fixing them would be awesome. I'm only on my 4th one. One just exploded all inside the bat box, the other 2 overheated??? They just stopped working???

Hi Mike.

I've never had a problem with any of mine overheating and they get worked pretty hard. I don't keep them in a battery box, the pump is secured on the inside of the Titan reel stand. This way they are in the open air and protected from the weather. Maybe this helps. I also use the Kuri 5/8 discharge hose and a 1 inch intake, even with the 5850 (not just the Fatboy).

Follow Up: It turns out that Eric was looking for the dime sized diaphragm under the pressure switch. We sent him one that was pulled off a used pump at no charge to him.....YES, it was FREE!
